Well I haven't been on daily strength much lately because of …
I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia in 1992. I have my good and bad days. Right now I am dealing with other medical problems.I have a colostomy …
John, Well, hello again my dear friend!! Here is a rainbow to add to your day tomorrow because I want you to have a beautiful day & I hope it is a day that is as pain free as possible! I am feeling a little better each day. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for the well wishes. Oh dear! Your doctor said if that didn't work he would consider a shot?!! EeeeK!! A shot in the boney areas of the foot has got to hurt like all heck I would imagine!!! I don't blame you for not being that eager for that one because, like you said,he would give it on the TOP of your foot as close to the toes as possible and "YES!!" that would be painful!!! Oh dear !! I mean, even in your past when he gave you a shot, he had to numb it with lidacane because the shots were sooooo painful! What kind of suggestion was that to do a thing like that again?!! I mean, you almost passed out! That, my dear friend, is incredible pain if it almost made you pass out! Oh, he also told you to walk with a cane on days that your foot is especially painful and weak, huh? Hey! Then you & I could have like a fencing tournament with our canes or something. lol Well, we could atleast walk together at the same pace because we'd both be using a cane to walk. Oh yeah, like on rainy days, or cold and snowy days, I need mine especially then too. That sounds good that you have the name of an Orthopedist in Delaware near where your foot doctor is. That is also good you want to let your foot doctor know what you want to do with the Orthopedist so you don't offend him & just outright tell him that you would like the two of them to work together and maybe together they can resolve this issue for you. Always a good idea not to burn your bridges in life when someone has been good to you & taken good care of you like your foot doctor. I agree. How nice that you really like your foot doctor & that he is the best in Delaware! Good to know! I will definitely keep that in mind to ask you his name in the future in case I ever needed him. I am sooooo sorry you have so much pain in your foot. It is not something you an ignore either. It isn't going to go away on it's own & you have to use your feet all the time to do anything practically! How could you just forget about it! I am glad you are working hard to take good care of yourself. You are a good friend & I wouldn't want anything to happen to you. I am sure your family wouldn't want anything to happen to you either. :O) Let me know how things work out, I will be wondering about you. I am good. I have mostly been at home working on my support groups or spending quality time with my son during the days. At night he is mostly with his father playing online games. But during the day, my son & I play games, talk a lot, work on the computers (he is writing a book, so that keeps him busy) & we eat breakfast & lunch together. We really enjoy eachother's company. It is nice. I have another support group on another site, which I probably can't list here, but it has 837 members & it is a Fibromyalgia group. I LOVE them all. They are such a great group of people. I am very proud of that group & it takes alot of work during the day. But I went to the doctor last night & found out my cholesterol dropped considerably & that my liver enzymes are climbing once again. He said he wants me tested every so many months to keep an eye on it & that most of the major drugs I am on can cause that to happen. Great, right? Well, I'll just deal with that as it comes. But my pain management doctor said my left arm is getting weaker than the rest of my limbs (You know...legs & other arm...). He said this is typical to see with a brain damaged patient (I had brain damge from the coma I had been in, so I guess that is just the way things go. I will deal wth that as it comes at me too. No need to upset myself now, right? Well, that is my major news. Glad to hear you check in with me. You are a sweetie! I appreciate that. :O) I love & care for you, my friend, & hope you have a restful & hopefully pain free night. I will talk to you again soon. Love & hugs. Your friend, Diana (dfox111)
John, Aww, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the "I'm With You Hug"! That is exactly what I needed right about now. :O) You know me so well, I was very ill when I had to go off line all of a sudden. I appreciate your kindness in saying I don't owe you an apology, that is just too sweet of you. You truly are a very kind man, John. I appreciate your friendship very much. I am very sorry to hear that you have had your problems also... the fibro that flared the last two weeks and also many other health problems. I just wish someone would come up with a solution to help us live practically pain free. It wouldn't have to be perfect, I would accept just something to adequately deal with all the pain. Jeez! You are still having problems with your foot? That is terrible! Well, I am glad to hear that the surgery you went for two weeks ago has helped to decrease the pain in your heel. Something they do better work, right? It is about time! Oh dear, but you have another broken bone in your foot leading up to your two small toes and also a pinched nerve?! You must be in sooooo much pain when you try to walk! My goodness!! I am very, very sorry to hear that! Now see I went in for a surgery shot for a pinched nerve in my left leg & it helped me enormously. I wonder if they could do something like that for you? I think it was called a nerve root block or something like that... I am glad to hear you are going to see an orthopedist and see if he can figure something out in the meantime. That should be beneficial I would think. I will pray for you that it all works out the way it should & send positive thoughts your way. :O) I am sorry you have to wear a cast again, but it is probably for the best until they figure this one out. Please, you take care of your self too. I really, truly do love & care for you very much, my dear, sweet friend. I will write again soon too. Love your friend, Diana (dfox111)

my name is john I have just started effexor xr yes it does have quite a lot of side effects. I am dealing with tiredness, sweeting, yawning, and sexual side effects. I am going to talk to my DR and see what she suggests. I have only been on it for almost two weeks.sometimes side effects will go away with time Right now I am feeling better than I have felt in a long time.Only time will tell
Rona's I am retired but when I was working I was upfront with coworkers and management I found it was the right thing for me to do. If I got sick and everyone knew it it was much easier and coworkere and management helped all they could and were understanding when the need came up and I had to take time off. But every employer is different and that is a decision that only you can make. And it all depends on how much you want them to know John
