Support Groups
Close Smoking Addiction & Recovery
I quit smoking in May, 2005. Only one puff since and that was around the 6 month mark. My life partner and I now help others quit smoking, too. She quit in April, 2006 and we met on an on-line support group. Fate or Divine Intervention, take your pick.
Treatments
- Support Groups Working / Worked
- Finding the on-line support group was the proverbial straw that took down the last barrier to my decision to quit.
- Wellbutrin Working / Worked
- I believe it worked. Took it during the first 30 days. If nothing else, it gave me the courage to take the plunge. Only possible side effect was one day I had a "reality perception" issue that scared me off the drug.
