We can't believe Zachary is 6 weeks old already! What was life like before our little man arrived? I am so in love with him that i truly had no idea a love like that existed!!! Every ounce of tears, pain, needles, appointments, surgeries etc. was worth having him.
Each day Zachary grows and changes before our eyes. He is already 11 pounds and eats like a champ. His sleeping patterns are getting better and he'll give us 3 hours in the middle of the night before his next feeding. He smiles more, coos, giggle (a few times), found his thumb (as of today!) lifts his head up high during tummy time and actually has discovered how to roll over during tummy time (already!) He also is very interested in looking at lights, mobiles etc. Just amazing!!!!
Maternity leave has been enjoyable, exhausting, challenging and rewarding all wrapped up into one. I can't believe we are into October and it saddens me that my leave is exactly 1/2 over but i am trying to stay positive about heading back to work (although it doesn't really work!)
DH and I continue to thank our lucky stars for our miracle child. He is the best gift g-d has ever given to us and we certainly do not take lightly to parenthood. We appreciate the little things with Zachary and know that we'll continue to do the best that we can as parents.
Being a parent is certainly rewarding and worth the road we had to take to get here. My dear friends who are still trying, please never give up!!!! I only hope that you will all get to experience this amazing thing called parenthood.

You are so cute! I love that you are sharing a week by week update of how Zach is growing and behaving! I feel like I am there with you and reliving Rhiannon's early weeks. Parenthood is definitely fitting you well and of course you don't take it for granted with everything you have been through (both of you). I am so glad that you are enjoying every moment!!! It is an awesome feeling!!!!! Can't wait to meet Zach next week!

I'm so happy for your little miracle! I'll never forget the day you called me and said you were pregnant, I was so happy for you. Back when we met I couldn't wait for the day we could both get together with our babies, and now that day is here. It was great seeing all of you on Saturday and I look forward to many future playdates.
