I didn't expect action from the state this fast, so I'm not surprised.

I promised myself I would clean out our garage by year-end, so when I think about it between headaches I go out there and poke around.  Our house was flooded 5 years ago when the city was working on the sewers and almost everything was put in bins in the garage.  After we were able to move back in we searched for things we HAD to have, but the rest of it is keeping me from parking in there.  And it's a big garage.  People who see it for the first time like to say it's a 4-car garage.

Today I found some old framed pictures of us and our children.  I don't look that different!  smirk

Four of my best shoes.  Not four pair.  One shoe from each of my four best pair.  Back when I was working I bought a lot of nice clothes on eBay and liked to dress up.

Also a big set Chinese style dishes that for a long time were our only dishes.  We'll put them somewhere we can find when we want them.

Sometimes when I see something at what I think is a great sale price I'll get a bunch, thinking I can give it for gifts or resell on eBay.  I found a box full of desktop cd or dvd racks.  Like bookends but for more modern media.  And some very lovely candles and holders.  About 5 of each thing.  So I've got a headstart on Christmas shopping.

Most precious was a copy of 20 year old Christmas newsletter written by my wife and I.  It talked about our older daughter's upcoming wedding, our younger daughter giving up dolls but not stuffed toys and our son's graduating to Webelos.

Yesterday, Sunday, was an almost headache-free day.  Our deck is being smothered by acorns so I spent some time tree-trimming.  I got whacked by a solid branch that gave me a 1 inch cut on my forehead.  Compared to migraine pain getting smacked and whacked and slapped is nothing!
