I'm happily married, no kids. I have two adorable dogs who are my babies. I'm diagnosed with diabetes and am a Christian Day School teacher. I've been offline for a while trying to deal with some recent deaths of loved ones. Just trying to hold it together.

Close Diabetes Type 2
I was diagnosed as Type 2 in January and am taking Metformin-1000 mg 2x a day and Actos- 15 mg 1x a day. My numbers are better. Waiting for results of my first A1C since starting meds. My first one was 11.7%. I've lost 40 something pounds since late November.
Open Asperger Syndrome
I'm a teacher of a child who has Aspergers. He is awesome and I'd love to learn more.
Open Bereavement
My sister and her 4 yr old daughter were killed 31 years ago and it still weighs on me daily. We don't know what happened. Their house exploded at noon one day. They were found under a refrigerator near the back door. Law enforcement closed the case, but with foul play suspected. End of that story. I had a dear friend who made not having my sister around bearable. She was only 39 years old and died suddenly three weeks ago. We've had two other unexpected family dealths in the past 3 months.
