Saturday already, where or where did the week go?????
It is a bit cloudy and chilly here this morning but that is ok, we have had several days of sunshine so a cloudy one now and then isn't too bad. Spring is getting closer, the Easter Lillies have broken ground, the primrose are nice and green and there are clumps of green grass shining in the yard. Spring is getting here at last!!
Let see if I can fill you in on my week, it was pretty normal I guess, I worked, did my household duties and attended Small group Bible study and an exercise class that we are doing at church. Then of course we have a mess to deal with as they are putting new water lines in here this year. They started here on Wednesday and what a mess!! They had to dig through our driveway and now we have a gravel hole right at the end. Terry is pretty upset about that and I do hope when the project is finally finished they will repair it. If not, I think we will probably be attending a City Council meeting!
Then the big day arrived, yesterday was my birthday and I decided to enjoy it to the fullest!
I did nothing that I didn't want to yesterday. The morning was quite and I received several phone calls from friends and lots of email cards and then of course the post office had a few for me as well. I have a facebook page and there were a lot of birthday wishes there as well. It made me feel so special to be remembered by so many friends. Even the preacher of our church sent me one.
Then Terry and I took off to Florence (the nearest town that has resturants and malls) and went to Olive Garden for lunch. Shopped a bit and looked around in some of the stores. I didn't buy anything but it was fun to just have a day to look around with out having to hurring to be somewhere or to look for something that we needed.
Shortly after we got home, our son and daughter in law stopped by, bringing me a pot of beautiful tulips and a card with a bit of cash in it. Those are always nice to recieve. Later in the evening our daughter and grandkids stopped in and also came bearing gifts. It was a wonderful day and I thank God for all the blessings in my life and another year to have spent on this earth with those I love. Oh and in the evening, Terry fixed supper for us. I didn't cook a thing all day, what a treat!!!
Today is going to be a slow one as well, we have decided to just stay home and relax. Both of us are dealing with allergies and feeling a bit tired and lazy so a day to do nothing will be nice. Of course, I will find something to get into, I can't sit around doing nothing for long. lol
Again, I am sorry for not being here much lately. DS has gotten so slow and I don't have time to sit here for hours waiting for it to move from screen to screen. I do think of all of you everyday though and I miss you when I don't hear from you. Maybe they will soon fix this problem and I can spend a while on here each day. Please know that you are very dear to me and I am so glad to have you all in my life.

Happy Birthday!! I'm glad you had such a good day, you are loved by alot of people, including me!!!
Enjoy your 'do nothing but what I want' day!!
Love ya,
Cathy

So glad that you had such a wonderful birthday. I got to play on Friday as well and those days are sure nice. But the bad part is catching up the next day!!!!
I am so glad that spring is arriving. You are ahead of us though. It will be probably another month before we see any sign of flowers. There are a few little snowdrops blooming but the Easter flowers are not showing a sign of even popping through the ground yet. I can't wait to get in my flower gardens. At least this year I will be able to have flower gardens. The roof is on now so I can plant flowers and they won't get disturbed.
Got to run. It is so great to hear from you. WE all miss you as well when you don't check in.
Love ya my friend,
Debbie
