Journal Entry for March 10, 2009 Mood
Tuesday, March 10, 2009

I really don't know what has happened to my time but I don't seem to have any here lately!

Here it is Tuesdaya and I am just now getting to my journal.  I miss hearing from all of you but I just can't seem to find time to be on ds.  It has been so slow lately, that when I do sit down to check on everyone, I get frustrated with how long it takes to get from one friend to another.  What has happened to ds, the other places I go on my computer are not slow.  It has to be the sight.  Oh well, I will try againg today to check in with each of you and see what is going on in your life.  Mine has been quite busy!!

Let's see, where do I start.   Last Tuesday afternoon, our daughter called and she had stepped off a concret stepping stone at the edge of her lawn and hurt her ankle.  She was on her way to pick up the kids from school and to take home some of the kids she sits for during the day, their mom's are teachers so she takes them back to them at school.   She needed someone to take her for x rays and our son in law was out of town,  so when Terry got home, we went to her house, I stayed with the kids while he took her to the er.

Thankfully it wasn't broken but a bad sprang.  I think a break would have been better.  It was really swollen and they wrapped it, put one of those boots on it and gave her crutches to use.  She was not to put any weight on it for a couple of days and then gradually try to use it. Needless to say, she could not stay home and take care of the kids like that, so they all piled into our car and came home with us.  It was interesting to say the least.  I haven't had to get kids up and ready for school in years and it was a shock to my system. lol  My day started at 6:15 and ended around 11:30 each night.   We made it though,  Steve came home on Friday and took them all home.  It sure was quite around here after they left!!!!

Then on Saturday we had a wedding to attend, and of course, Sunday was church, family and Awana in the evening.  So guess that is one of the reasons I didn't make it back to ds last week.  The days were full and busy, the evenings were loud and I didn't get my turn on the computer.lol

On top of all that was going on, we had to change our clocks on Saturday night and lost an hours sleep.  It takes me forever to get caught up when we do that!!!!

The weather here has been so nice the past several days, warm temps and lots of sunshine, I think I heard that cold is coming back for the end of the week,  but Spring is getting closer every day.  Some of the spring flowers are beginning to pop up and the grass is starting to turn green in places.  I just hope we have Spring and don't jump right into the heat and humidity.

Well,  that it about it for me, I will try to check in with you all later today, now I have to get to work.

Your daughter is so blessed to have you as her Mom!! I never had any help at all when I was bringing up my boys. I remember coming home from my stroke and a couple times after surgery and having to do it all as if I hadn't been sick at all. Once my foot gouted and I had to get around by putting my knee on a chair and move it froward to walk. Nobody would even take the time to go pick me up a pair of crutches! I was suppose to stay off it and keep it up but I couldn't. Aaron was only 3 then and it was really hard. God bless you for all the help you so generously give to your family.

It's suppose to rain here today, there are some warnings out for communities around me that there will probably be flooding. Its suppose to rain really hard, it's been damp and looking like rain for the past few days. Oh it makes a person hurt!

I hope you have a good day.

    Take care,
    hugs Cathy

y goodness!!! Your poor daughter. Just getting over one tragedy and hopping into another!!! glad the foot wasn't broken although like you said, most times a sprain is more painful than a break. I can't imagine all the activity that was going on at your house. I remember how it was when we had the two girls with us and all the activity!!! I love the peace and quiet that goes on now!!!!

Raining here this afternoon and then starting to cool down tomorrow with a high on Friday of only 33. I am so tired of cold weather. I can't wait for spring to spring!!!

    Have a good afternoon.

well geez sorry about your daughter's foot!. Pray it gets better quickly. I hear you about the damp and cold.. I feel it as soon as it moves in....owwww.
Thank goodness your family is near and you can help eachother AMEN! Something happens to my husband i will fall over as there is not much family and neighbors that are near or willing to lend a hand. Each day i pray i make it though and one way or another through God's strength i am! We went to church 3 weeks in a row and had to miss last sunday. ;o/

We had a lake out in our sideyard! lol We do have to be careful as 3 years ago Ohio got blasted with record amounts of flooding.

I did get my Bear piece finished and am now working on Crosses that over look a lake. It will be a beauty if finished right.
