Mom goes to the oncologist on Wednesday. The quack she normally sees told her that going to the hospital was going to be very expensive. She kind of freaked out and told the family that she would NEVER go to the hospital. This is from a woman who has a lot of money and can afford to get any treatment she wants. But she likes this idiot doctor who is a total jerk in my and my family's opinion. It's a long story.... Hopefully this oncologist will treat her right and take care of her.
Just found out that I may have jury duty at the end of March. Lovely. I have extreme claustrophobia and the courtroom is in a tiny area with NO WINDOWS. I can teach because my classroom has six large windows. Hoping that my doctor will write a statement getting me off jury duty because of this, my anxiety, my mother, and the ovarian cancer. Trying to keep a positive attitude about everything, but boy is it tough.
The way things are going, I am waiting for a plague of frogs or my house to burn down.

I think you have had your share of trouble for now... these things happen in threes... so no more worries for you. Thank you for letting us know how you are. Please take extra special care of yourself through all of this. I just know you are going to be fine as you have so much going for you as well.. Life sure picks some dumb moments to challenge us, but you can deal with this and we're all here with you.

having lawyers in my family, I don't think getting out of jury duty will be a problem, having said that, you never know what kind of judge you will get. Best of luck, I think of you often. Mary

I got called for jury duty and found that you can ask to be off...but for me it was once I was there. My county, state, does not seem to take no for an answer until you go in. I've been called a ridiculous amount of times, (5) in my life, considering I know old people who have never been called. Wacky, huh. I think I am the "perfect" juror or something. Anyways, you do not need this right now...and I am thinking you Doctor should be able to give you a note that will satisfy the court system.
You poor thing! I wish you weren't being deluged will all this difficulty.

I was able to get out of the jury duty. I can't get out of a supeona though, for a driver who was drinking and crashed into a pole across my house.
