Single by choice...very picky! And scared of committment, I guess. Would welcome Mr. Right, but won't settle for Mr. Wrong. Only regret is that I don't have kids...bitter pill to swallow. It's VERY hard to suffer from IBS and be alone...it's very isolating & hard to carry on with daily tasks when I'm in pain. Misdiagnosed from everything from Lupus to anti-biotic induced colitis to IBS to Mediterranean Familia Disease (ha, & I'm a Swede), and fibromyalgia. Worked in advertising for 15 yrs, then as an ofc mgr for a law firm for 10 years. Currently unemployed due to cervical spine injuries caused by physical therapy...looking for work.

hi stargazer, my tummy hurts to day, but keep going , i have bought some chewable acidophilus see if they help, they say it helps with bacteria in bowel, give it go any way, i know a lot of mine is stress, but cant help the way you are, i had 6 granchildren al under 5 and i love yhem dearly, i worry am not going to be there for them, maybe in need councilling, how are you my friend?

I have had NUMEROUS exploratory surgeries RE IBS, and have an inflammed colon for over 10 years. With horrific/debilitating pain attacks at random, complete with extreme & severe gut distention & little pouches all over the abdomen...during a flare-up...
Treatments
- Acidophilus Somewhat Helpful
- I found this on my own.no dr. ever told me abt this. It affords me more painless time in between the attacks. The attacks are not as frequent, but still exist.
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
- By keeping a food journal, which again, I did on my own with no dr. telling me to do so, I know now of certain things to totally avoid.
- Zelnorm Not Working
- Drs. wanted to put me on this, BUT I refused after reading the side effects & due to surgery for adhesions...come to find out, I was right, cuz the FDA pulled this drug.
- Eat Small Meals Frequently Working / Worked
- Avoiding certain foods, eating smaller meals in a non-rushed environment, avoiding sodas & carbonated beverages.
