The Sunken Road Antietem the Battle of Bull Run
I think the Union soldiers were on the right and the confederates on the left. They stood on opposite sides of the road and shot each other. Its said that after the battle the roadway was so full of bodies you could walk from one side of the road to the other and your feet would never touch the ground. Over 20000 men died in the battle of Bull Run. It was a southern victory if you can call something like that victorious.

By the way, that's a our big ol' blue truck.

I've been to Antietam numerous times. The area is lovely and of course very historic and well preserved. I think though that the confederates were on the brown field and came up over a rise just out of view, while the union soldiers were to the left of the fence. PS- Bull Run is in Monasses, Virginia.

What a sad time in our history but what a beautiful spot!
Nice pickup! You need a trailer and some horses to go with it!

Ha ha, Evan. Your Mom is trying to look all clever and you blow my cover. Hmm. What vegetables can I force you to eat tonight?
