Seasons of Life
In just two days I will begin a new chapter in my life.

I am a 47 year old Christian woman, diagnosed with PD at 44, most probably having it more at the age of 31, however misdiagnosed. Three children, all grown, and a wonderful husband of 27 years. I am a writer who loves to garden, to draw and paint, sing and laugh, take pictures and enjoy the ocean on a stormy or a sunny day. Here's me, in a 'nutshell' version: Crazy. Sincere. Full of joy. Takes wrong turns. Never asks for directions. Never reads directions. Learns by mistakes. Shares life experiences with others. Encourages broken hearts, offers water to the thirsty. Known to laugh at the wrong times. Thankful. Honesty is a priority. Vulnerable. Told I'm overly sensitive. Reminded I wear my heart on my sleeve. Think too much. Passion of the pen, ministry of the written word. I stop to smell the roses and pick up rocks. Known to trip at the wrong time, wondering if there's a right time. Sing the wrong words to the right tunes. Puppy person. Believe my God can move mountains. Fondness for flowers, family time, and friends. Easily side-tracked. Clean freak. Love my family. Love Jesus more. Giving all the glory to God. I have a website to encourage PD'ers and their friends and family: www.parkinsonsjourney.com. - stop by and feel free to contribute!

I love to write - children's books, devotionals, journals, and am working on my first novel. I love to paint and draw and take pictures. I love to be outside in my garden even if it means being stiff!!! I love to spend time with my husband and my kids. I love to sing and drive in the country, watch a sunset and sunrise, hear the waves crash against the cliffs, imagine the smell (!) of fresh cut grass and just love life! It becomes more precious each day. Some days are hard, but it could always be worse and I am trying to live each day as if it's the last. Someday I want to jump out of a plane - with a working parachute, of course.
