Get out! My Dr has the disease, his wife has it, he uses more natural approaches which is helpful, but…

    • Shout Out

      From lidlone November 14

#13 is lucky for me, too! Yeah, I hear you about re-entry - nothing like going back to work. But I believe it's been the saving of me, because things are pretty bleak when I hang around the house and it's good to have something so consuming and distracting to go to. Does hurt so much every morning when I have to leave him behind, though.

    • Ray of Sunshine

      From lidlone November 12

Ooooh, chocolate! I'll give you some sunshine - something you've had plenty of but we've been lacking for WEEKS AND WEEKS now!

Glad you're home safe and sound. Things are okay here - sometimes better, sometimes worse - hopefully we're starting to get to some kind of status quo.

I'm at work myself, but we can write more later. Keep in touch!

PS The birdhouses are all done now (thank goodness). I'm ordering him one of those fancy dollhouses to put together - that should take him quite some time.

    • Go For It

      From lidlone November 1

Have a great trip! Yes, dear, you'll be flying west, unless you're taking a VERY long way around! Couldn't you tan right outside there, or is it off-season?

Anyway, enujoy yourself - have a great break - I'll catch you when you get back!

      I wish these flowers will give you a smile. I know the feeling so well, being so frustrated with our bodies. Your not alone, {{HUGS!}}

Yep, birdhouses! I like your take on them. Not really sure how that all started. I did one quilt - I admit that the top took me a year to piece together and I paid somebody to quilt it for me! I've done some doll quilts and might do some for the babies. Right now, I'm mostly knitting & crocheting, but what I've done over the past few years was mostly counted cross stitch, so it seems that I get on something for a while and then make a change. I know what you mean, though; I love to fondle & organize my fabrics and threads. If I use something up (it's NOT for use, it's more of a museum!!) I usually feel that I have to replace it! I look forward to seeing your quilts myself.

Have a great day - glad of whatever support I can offer.

      Love, Gail

    • Close Pancreatic Cancer

My sister was diagnosed with pan cancer 2 months ago but they couldn't operate bc the tumor was wrapped around major veins and the portal vein to the liver. She just started chemo and has lost 25 pounds-very frail-she hallucinates a lot and is super depressed, not to mention myself. Trying to keep my chin up. Horrible disease. I hope the chemo helps to shrink the tumor although the Dr's say it's a slim chance that she will get surgery to find the cure.

    • Open Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL)

My mom was diagnosed with CLL 40 years ago and has never taken any treatment, but good old exercise, works hard, eats normally, and has a positive mental attitude. She has had more energy than I have (51) and she is 82! After reading the stats, the highest percentage of people die in her age group. So far, so good...just want to share her success story..I don't know what her 3"s were at time of dx.

    • Open Hypothyroidism

I have been on Armour for 8 years and never felt like myself. My hypo started after a hysterectomy in 2000. I'm now on Synthroid and just having added Cytomel, I feel 100% more clear in my thinking, have more energy, and it's amazing how T3 has changed the sluggish thinking into attentiveness.

      Armour Thyroid Somewhat Helpful
Just kept the thyroid numbers level but noone ever checked my physical symptoms, so I never felt good.

It's amazing how much better I feel w a little of this added to Synthroid.
      Synthroid Working / Worked
Got my T4 levels better, but not enough change alone. Added Cytomel and I feel a lot better.
