Retired from USAF in 1985. Enjoy my 4 grandchildren, searching the net, old movies especially westerns. Diagnosed with Fibro and Type II dibetic in 2004. Pain level between 7 - 9 most days. Most meds do not help or side effects worse than disease. Take every advantage of the good days as they are few and far between. Do best I can with what the good LORD gives me.

- Did not help and side effects were bad. Still have the pain as well as being dizzy and sick to my stomach.

- Due to my reaction to other meds my primary care Dr does not recomend Ibuprofen.

Open Diabetes Type 2
Diagnosed in Jun 2004. Have been able to keep sugar level under control with medication and diet.

- Actos Not Working
- Didn't work to well and caused swelling in legs, ankles, and feet.
- Glucovance Working / Worked
- Keeps blood sugar under control. Have to watch closely as sometimes causes low sugar.
Open COPD & Emphysema
Diagnosed in Feb 2005. Have good days and bad days depending on the weather and movement.

Blood pressure has been going up and down lately. Dr changed med by increasing atenolol to twice (50 mg) daily

In constant pain due to fibro, RA, 3 rup disc in lower back, Have bad reactions to most pain and anti inflamatory meds.

- Lyrica Not Working
- Tried 50 mg and 75 mg with no effect on pain.
- Methadone Not Working
- Side effects worst than living with the pain. Still had pain and felt worse due to medication
- Oxycodone Not Working
- Made me sick.
- Ultram Not Working
- No effect on the pain and caused severe dizzyness.
- Indocin Not Working
- Made me sick
- Darvon Not Working
- Made sick
- Naproxen Not Working
- Made sick
- Neurontin Not Working
- Worked for short time but body must have become immune as med became in effective.
- Gabapentin Not Working
- Made me sick
- Methotrexate Not Working
- Take 3 pills once a week. Have been taking for 2 month now but pain level still same or worse. Side effects are bad also.
Open High Cholesterol
In 2004 I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabities. Was also having some chest pains. My cholesterol was not very high but the cartiologist put me on cholesterol med. to insure that cholesterol was controled as Diabetics were at a higher risk for cartiovascular problems.
Treatments
- Aspirin Working / Worked
- I use aspirin as a blood thinner not to reduce cholesterol.
