About Me
I'm a 22 year old lesbian who works full time taking care of a woman who is deaf and blind because of severe MS. I grew up in North Carolina with two deaf parents (my mom ended up deaf-blind) and I learned to sign way before I learned how to speak. In high school I hung with the deaf kids. I flunked out of high school and when I came to New York the only job I was able to get was taking care of the woman I now take care of. Taking care of her takes up most of my time and leaves little time for fun. I have no one to have fun with as I have not met many people my own age here in New York. Ppl in New York are different from how ppl were back home and i am kind of lonely here. I was recently diagnosed with mild cerebral palsy

I'm really limited on my computer time right now but I am hoping the physical therapy gives me more endurance. Trying to clean up 58 emails. I just love your hugs. Have you thought about keeping a journal?

I flunked out of high school because my IQ was 2 low
Open Cerebral Palsy
I just was told that I might have a very mild case of spastic CP. I went to the Dr complaining that my legs often hurt and she said that they were more stiff than they shood have been and that it might be mild CP. Ppl have sometimes made fun of how I walked but I always thot it was normal 4 me. She also said that I knock things over a lot because my arms have it slightly 2.
Open Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
I work as an aid to a woman with MS. She is deaf-blind and as she becomes more and more helpless I become more and more depressed. I cannot leave her, but being with her so much is not good for me.
Open Depression
I have probably been depressed my whole life and I'm becoming more depressed by taking care of a woman with severe MS.
Open Caregivers
I work as the chief caregiver for a deaf-blind woman with MS. I have been doing it for a few years and am beginning to get burned out.
