About Me
a Mother of one, grandmother of three.diagnosed with FM 24 yrs.ago.I am an advocate for this illness, and am in the local newspaper twice a yr.trying to get awareness. This is the toughest test of my life...my pain is unbearable, It seems that I only have bad, and worse days..I do get up, and do whatever I can do everyday, to stay active...this illness has alienated me from my family, and friends, therefore, I do not have a lot of support. It's sad, I have four sisters that also have this illness, and we do not help one another...I am very spiritual, and stay close to GOD, it is only by HIS GOOD GRACES, that I am able to get up, and do anything. I am 59yrs, old, and used to love to go out, and socialize, I did ballroom dancing, I miss me, and my life terribly, but refuse to feel sorry for myself, or remain a victim of this illness, as so many others have it worse, I feel terrible for the younger women with small children that suffer with this....I adopted a dog(cock a poo)five years ago, and he is my constant companion, my devoted, best friend, I would not know what to do without him.I never would have believed that one day my whole life would revolve around a dog...smile..we just never know, do we???? I miss my son and grandchildren the most in my life, but, I have no love and support from my son.I just can't understand that, but, I pray daily for him...I love my fibro-friends that I have made on the fibro websites, Sharing with them helps me keep my sanity, , ...thanks for letting me share..oh, I live in PA, I did live in Ft.Lauderdale, FL. for almost 20 wonderful yrs. but moved back here to be close to my family, which I see now, was a mistake...I had more support there from my friends, thanks again for letting me vent, GOD BLESS YOU, AND ANGELS WATCH OVER YOU ALWAYS...Love and Prayers, elle....

Interests
reading, being on the computer, arts, crafts, cards and board games, swimming biking, taking walks with my best buddy, "Ebby"(short for Ebony) movies, ballroom dancing(only after I take my pain meds, and am willing to suffer for the next week, smile)most of all, spending time with the grandchildren, who are a joy to me, they make my heart smile, and are theraputic....
