Sorry everyone that I haven't been on here in a couple of days. I've been stuck at home, without a computer, due to the snow & ice. We ended up …
My husband was diagnosed with bipolar disorder about 3-4 yrs ago. He's 33 yrs old & evidently has probably had this his whole life. We struggle with him taking his medicine, whether or not the medicine works and then how to deal with it when it doesn't work, etc. We struggle with the mood swings too.
I have a hubby who has bipolar, ADD & anxiety. We've been dealing with it for the past 3-4 years. It goes good for awhile and then it gets REAL bad, REAL quick. The ups & downs are terrible. Winter time, especially. It's hard when you have 4 kids who are really too young to understand it all. They know he's sick and can't help it but that still doesn't make it better. Some days are worse than others but we get through it.
My son, 12, wears hearing aids in both ears. It was discovered about 3-4 years ago by his teacher. It's genetic and nothing we can do to stop the loss. He has a 75% chance of going complete deaf at any given moment. It's difficult to deal with since kids his age are so mean & have no clue about what's really wrong with my son.
I have a 13 yr old son, 12 yr old on and 10 yr old daughter. The 12 yr old is full time at our house and the other 2 come over every other weekend. My husband and I are VERY involved in their lives outside of our house too. I would like to know how to manage the hormones that they are going through better.
I have 4 kids. The youngest is 18 months and the other 3 are 10, 12, & 13. I need some help in raising the 18 month old. I've somewhat forgotten how hard it can be. She's a spitfire with a mind of her own. The doctor says that's good but I'm not sure how to deal with it while raising her. It's all good though. I love all my kids and we have a great time together.
I've always been a little overweight but nothing like I am now. I was always fine with my wieght & never had any issues. It's just over the past 4 years since I had back surgery I've put weight on & can't seem to get any of it off. I've tried diet after diet & exercise, etc. but I always go back to my old ways. I'm an emotional/bored eater. Plus I sit all day at a desk & it doesn't help any either. I would LOVE to be able to loose at least 100 pounds & get back down to a reasonable weight.
I had back surgery 5 years ago where they cut my rib out and fused it into the middle of my back. I felt SO much better after the surgery and for a few years afterwards. Since having my baby 18 months ago I've been suffering from chronic lower back pain. I'm gearing up to go to a Pain Management Center in February - wish me luck! (Also, I would do back surgery all over again in a heartbeat! It truly saved my life!)
