Hi. I kind of know what you are talking about. I have been sick with bronchiectasis (which is very similar to CF) since I was 9 months old. I was so sick as a kid I couldn't even go to school...it came to me. The feeling of wishing to be "normal" never really goes away, I'm almost 40 now... I will say, that the disease becomes less of an enemy as time goes. Think of it, what doesn't kill us makes us stronger! Hang in there!
THERE'S NO WHERE ELSE I WOULD BE!!!
cf/post liver transplant. I do go in more often for cleanouts in the winter I seem to do ok lung wise I've had more problems with my liver than lungs even though lately I have been spitting up small amounts of blood in my sputum doctors say its just the disease progressing.
I had a liver transplant in Nov. of 1999 my mom donated part of her liver to me. I have had a successful transplant no rejection.
I was sexaully abused by my father from the age of 10 till 13 yrs old. he now is in prison.
its hard for me talk to people cause the words dont come out of my moulth i have to have my mom say everything for me. its so bad that i cant even go to a cash register and pay for something
