Good evening all. Just a short note to say hi and to see how everyone is doing.Nothing new here, same-old, same-old. I'm starting to like the same-old... Well, in a couple of days I'll be gamble free for 14 months. WOW! I never thoughtI'd ever be able to say that. Being in the double digits is wonderful! I heard a song by Geroge Harrison,(of the Beatles) the other day. It is called"Within You, Without You" and there is a line that just hit me like a ton of bricks. It says..... "it's all within yourself no-one else can make you change"I thought how true! Once I figured this out for myself, my recovery became so much more important to me. Once I decided that I was the only one that could change my miserable life,my recovery became so much easier. It is within us all to be gamble free and to enjoy life again! Well, I'm headed to bed. It's been a long week. I pray that you all are doing well. You are in my prayers! Peace and Love. Patty

Isn't it amazing how normal day to day life can be so peaceful? It really is hard to believe while you are in the throes of addiction. Life truly does get better. Early congrats on 14 months!!! I am so proud of you!!!!!!! It has been a pleasure to see you change and grow as you move forward in your life and recovery. I feel very blessed to call you a friend and walk this road alongside you.
