Journal Entry for October 10, 2009 Mood
Saturday, October 10, 2009

Well, the memorial is over... his daughters did a beautiful job!  They did a video that was wonderful.  They played a melody of songs “Somewhere Over the Rainbow and What a Wonderful World” but a Hawaiian named Israel Kamakawiwo sang it.  It was just beautiful!  I’ve never heard this take on the songs. At the end it said….”I will always love you…

I just can't stop breaking down in tears.

After the memorial I went to a wedding.  It was so sweet.  They are a young couple and they have a little boy almost 1 year old.  THey pulled him down the isle in a wagon.  He is so cute.  I'm so happy for them.  They are good for each other.

Well, not much in the mood to write tonight. I'm emotionaly drain!  I'm going to get my bath and go to bed.  I have to work a 7-hour shift tomorrow at the store then I'm off both jobs for three days.  On Wednesday I'm going on a day outing with my mom and two sisters.  It will be nice.  MOm has a doctors appointment, then lunch and shopping. I don't have any money, but it will be nice.

Thank you my dear family for always being there with the hugs and support.

Peace and Love.

Patty

Dear sweet Patty....keep crying and let it all out. I know how hard it is to lose a friend....no matter how expected it was it is never easy. You need to let yourself mourn and remember the good times. Death is always hardest on those left behind. Know that he is finally at peace and wishes the same for you. Big, big (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))))))))) to you,

Both "events" sound beautiful in their own ways...celebrations of life; one honoring the life that has passed, one celebrating a new life beginning. Glad you have a day off to spend with family..love ya, Dianne

Hey Patty: I agree with Dianne...the different events are all about perspective, how we as individuals see them and experience them. Personally, I am a firm believer in a magnificent afterlife and after the hell I created here on earth, I will be ready when the time comes.
Your profile touched me I could have been reading my own story more or less.
I am so glad to have found this place, it keeps me sane and grounded for the most part.
