Journal

I come to my online family with a prayer request.  I lady in my neighborhood, one that I've know since I was very young, went to Church with her and use to be close friends with her daughter, I've spent many a night at her house, is in need of prayer.  Thursday night she lost her husband, he passed after a long illness, they knew the time was close, but that's not all and as if that isn't bad enough, while she and her daughter were on their way home from the funeral home after making arrangements, her house blew up and her 20-something year old grandson, (her only daughter’s only child) was in the house, he is now in a "burn-unit" in a near by state fighting for his life.  No one knows what happened yet.  My heart goes out to this lady. She is a nice woman that has always helped anyone in the community that she could.  Please pray for her, her grandson and daughter.

I had a pretty OK Thanksgiving.  I worked from 9:00 to 4:00 and then stopped by my nieghbors and ate.  I brought enough home for lunch tomorrow.  I'm fixing my turkey Saturday.  I have come down with a nasty head and chest cold.  I'm praying it doesn't get worse.  I just can't afford to miss work right now, and I don't really have the extra money for a doctor visit or meds.  I think I'm going to go and eat my pumpkin pie and go to bed.

I want to wish all my family here at DS a wonderful and joyful Thanksgiving.  I know that I'm so thankful for all you; also I'm thankful for my recovery, health and family.  Please keep those that are struggling, the ones that are serving our country and those that are less fortunate in your thoughts and prayers this Thanksgiving and all year long.
