A friend just contacted me about my prayers bracelets that we made as gifts last year, so I have am going to include it in my journal and let me know if you have any questions about them. I will be glad to help.
As I begin 2009, I want this to be the year of change and commitment to God and to myself. One of my resolutions is to be in constant prayer. So, I figure the only way to do this is to make something that I can carry with me everyday and when I look at it, I pray. So, I was thinking, well if I want to do that, Im sure my brothers and sisters would want to as well. So, I called my spiritual mentor and this is the little project she gave me. Now, its made with beads but you can use anything, like yarn, stones, anything that contains the colors mentioned and the reason for the colors. They must be placed in the order that is shown here. You can be creative and make a keychain, bracelet, zipper pull, anything you like. Please join me in constant prayer with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
1 Black:
Our sin, which separates us from God.
2. Red: (heart shape)
Christ's blood, shed for each one of us.The heart shape reminds us that Christ died for us because of His great love for us.
3. White:
We are washed whiter then snow by the blood of Jesus, forgiven of our sins.
4. Blue:
The Holy Spirit, the helper who comes into our hearts when we ask Jesus into our lives.
5. Green:
Growth, just like plants and trees and flowers grow, Jesus wants us to grow in our relationship with Him.
6. Gold:
The "streets of gold" in heaven where we can live with God forever without tears, sadness and pain.
7. Butterfly Bead:
Our new life in Christ, Just as a caterpillar is transformed into a beautiful butterfly, we become a new creation when we accept Jesus into our hearts.

I do think these are a wonderful idea. How easy it is to forget?? For a few days after Katrina when emotions were high I actually wrote on my arm with a black marker WWJD...just to remind me to hold my temper and patiently pray. :o) I hope that you are feeling better soon!!!

Ok, I can do that..Let me get one together and I will take a picture of it for ya!!! No, I don't sell them. I usually add them as a stocking stuffer or when Alaina has a new friend come with us to church I give them one.
