Courage is standing up for what you believe in without worrying about the opinions of others.
It’s following your own heart, living your own life,
and settling for nothing less than the best for yourself.
Courage is daring to take a first step, a big leap, or a different path.
It’s attempting to do something that no one has done before, and all others thought impossible.
Courage is keeping heart in the face of disappointment,
and looking at defeat not as an end but as a new beginning.
It’s believing that things will ultimately get better even as they get worse.
Courage is being responsible for your own actions, and admitting your own mistakes without placing blame on others.
It’s relying not on others for your success,
but on your own skills and efforts.
Courage is refusing to quit even when you’re intimidated by impossibility.
It’s choosing a goal, sticking with it, and finding solutions to the problems.
Courage is thinking big, aiming high, and shooting far.
It’s taking a dream and doing anything, risking everything, and stopping at nothing to make it a reality.
~ Caroline Kent

If need be, start over again and again –
success becomes closer each time.
If need be, accept whatever you have to –
it may not be easy to do,
but it makes everything easier.
If need be, stop running –
so that happiness can find you.
If need be, admit that you need help –
this is helping yourself.
If need be, ignore fear –
for without fear,
anything is possible.
If need be, make a change –
it could change your life.
If need be, surrender –
without struggle, there is peace.
If need be, compromise –
but keep your principles.
If need be, continue
what seems to be impossible –
it only is impossible if you quit.
If need be, stop –
and a new life will start.
If need be, try something different –
you will be wiser.
If need be, wait –
amazing things happen everyday.
If need be, live with uncertainty —
certainty is in trusting yourself.
If need be, have faith —
and faithfully you’ll be given strength.
If need be, go forward —
your dreams are waiting patiently for you.

Serenity Where Are You?
Why does the mind run on and on?
Peace of mind seems so long gone.
Inner voice, relentless testing,
Always thinking, never resting,
Serenity, where are you?
Stumbling, watching every step,
Things I've lost, and things I've kept,
Lives I've lived but never known,
Mysteries that are mine alone.
Serenity, where are you?
Restless dreams, I have no peace,
Neverending thoughts released.
Struggling, turning, fighting all,
Sleep the enemy, sleep the call.
Serenity, where are you?
Inner space and cyberspace,
Walks the neverending pace,
Inner heart or hidden fright
Wants to run but has to fight.
Serenity, where are you?
Memories fly and memories die,
Ghostly images as I cry.
Ideas come but rarely stay,
Where is hope to lead the way?
Serenity, where are you?
Ceasing doubts; as faith persists,
Brings the dawn that night resists.
Life renewed in every flower
Angels singing, devils cower.
Serenity, where are you?
Serenity, where are you?
are you? ...where
......where are you?

Come On Baby,Let's Go Home.
I can almost see you sitting there at the computer or TV screen. You have been feeling so down. Wanting to give in and give up. You are tired of fighting, tired of trying to explain what it is you are going through or what you feel to ears that could never understand. It is just easier to say nothing. Sometimes they don't seem to care anyway.
Come on baby, let's go home.
You have tried to change, tried to give your best, followed the
doctor's advice and what well meaning friends and family have suggested but you feel stuck. You want out of this place of despair but you don't know how. Is there any hope?
Let me take you out of here. Away from the mundane, the routine, the noises that cloud your mind.
Come on baby, let's go home.
I don't know the shoes you walk in. We all wear different sizes. I
could never know your exact feelings but I can listen, I can love and I can be there.
Come on baby, let's go home.
Where is home? Is it a place? Is it a family that we are in?
Sometimes the answers aren't so obvious. But for right now, for these next few moments, close your eyes - it's right here. I will take you there.Give me your hand. It's okay you can trust me. I won't hurt you nor do I want to take anything from you.In this home you are safe. Sit down and rest your weary head on this pillow while I gently stroke your hair.Relax your muscles. Let your body rest. No one can bother you or get to you here. You don't have to say a word. Go to sleep if you like, I won't leave. You are home here. Full acceptance and unconditional love.
Is it possible you say? Yes! But how? To me I think that to give love you have to know love. I have known pain so I can understand pain to some degree. I have also known and know love so I can give it as well. God's love is this way. He is a safe place.
I give out of that love and the love of others. All I want to do is give. It is your turn to receive. It's okay. Whenever you feel alone. Whenever you want to quit. I want you to come back to this place and close your eyes and know that I am here.
I will be the voice saying....
Come on baby, let's go home.

The Time Is Now
If you are ever going to love
Love me now while I can know
The sweet and tender feelings
which from true affection flow
Love me now while I am living
Do not wait until I am gone
And then have it chiseled in marble
Sweet words on ice cold stone
If you have tender thoughts of me
Please let me know now
If you wait until I am sleeping
Never will be death between us
And I won’t hear you then
If you love me, even a little bit
Let me know while I am living
So that I can treasure it

~~I hope you have enjoyed my journal. There are so many beautiful graphics and poems out there its hard not to want to put them all here at once. Courage is a double-edged sword. You have the courage to walk across a busy intersection or drive in rush-hour traffic but when it comes to your mortality, courage wanes!!
Jesus and I sat by the fireplace last night and though no words were exchanged, my soul is at peace! I feel asleep listening to the wood crackling and His warm hand in mind and woke with a renewed sense of purpose.
If anyone would like to know, when I pray, I use imagery. Whenver I have a problem and need to talk to Jesus, I picture that I am walking into this house, all ablaze with light. An Angel greets me by name and steps aside so that I may enter. In the library are two high-backed chairs facing the fire. Even though I have never seen my Lord's face, I know that it is him. I sit down beside him and tell him my hopes, dreams, fears, and anguish! Sometimes I talk for what seems like hours, other times we sit in silence, and the Holy Spirit speaks to him for me. I can not tell you the number of times I have fallen asleep with Jesus' hand in mind.
When I am afraid, I envision Him sitting in this huge chair, so tall that I only come up to the leg of it. Jesus reaches down to me and picks me up, like one might a child, places me on his lap and envelopes me in His loving arms. There I cry and face my fears with him. For this is the only place I am guaranteed safety and oh, if only it were true. If only I could rush to my Jesus' side and sit for hours in His presence or fall asleep in that massive chair with Him holding me and stroking my hair and telling me "Child, you have nothing to fear".
This is how I pray~~

Imagining Jesus beside you is a great way to personalize prayer. It also gives our brains something to wrap around. I think it is great. Have a great weekend.
