Not a cruel joke, though it may so at times. I was a healthy 26 when I had my first MS symptoms. I ate healthy, worked out, did not drink or smoke. Meanwhile I saw people who abused their body waltz through life without any health issues. It has been over 23 years now and I have come to realize that these were the cards I was dealt. Now I must decide every day how I will deal with it. When I wake in the morning, I take a mental inventory of how my body feels. I then decide how I will spend the day. If the day calls for rest, then I rest. I feel good enough to do some chores, then great. If I feel like going out, I seize the opportunity. BTW, you may be waiting a while for "things to turn around". You may see incremental change good or bad. Learn to be flexible because every day will be a surprise. That is my opinion anyway.
