High Five
The pain IS getting less and less each day, which is good. I also am getting stronger and stronger each day, so that helps too. My dog jumped into bed the other night and scared me, so I jerked my leg; something "popped" and it feels so much better now. I think that my knee just got all bunched up too, and needed that relief. I took a sponge bath and took some time in the bathroom with my hair today, changed clothes into street clothes, and feel alot better. Still, a big thing is that my GF broke up with me the day before surgery, so there is alot of emotional stuff going on. We still live together...it's complicated.

Thanks for sending me in the right direction for this amputation. Without you, who knows what I would have gotten! I really do appreciate all the work you do to get the Ertl procedure out there to the community. As of yet, I am not anxious of the procedure, but I am anxious of getting my house in order and such before Friday. They are working me alot these past few weeks, and I am exhausted and in a lot of pain, so I am not getting as much done as I want to. They are just trying to get me as much money as possible before I am off of work for so long, but dang, it's wearing me out!

Close Amputees
Compound Tib/Fib in 06,didn't heal to my sastifaction so I decided to amputate, had an Ertl amputation 1-16-08. Had some issues healing but things are Great now.
Treatments
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- Prosthetic Device Working / Worked
- Pin system socket (little sloppy don't like it that much, switching to Limblogic VS vac system) Alps silicone liners (like them alot) and a Perfect Stride 2 foot. (LOVE the foot great foot for active people that have enought room for it )
- Skin Graft Working / Worked
- not much of the graft left since the amputation
