My mom, her dog and her eeeeeeeeevil cat are staying with us for an undetermined amount of time. She is a Galveston evacuee and her house is in pretty bad shape from what we've been told. First level is probably gone and stairs probably gone. Good news is 2nd story may be okay and she still has a roof.
But she's stressed, the animals are stressed, we're all stressed and it SUCKS.
Want to be on here more but times are tough and I'm not doing a very good job of "hanging in there".
Hope everyone else is doing great and making progress towards goals!

Yuck! Any idea how long this situation is likely to go on? Any idea if she could get a motel or apartment or something? I know I heard something on the news today about people whose homes have been destroyed being able to get 30 days of a hotel or apartment through the government.... you might want to check that out. Whatever happens good luck.
