I've had it! Absolutely HAD IT!!! I have been on several waiting lists for a British Shorthair kitten and I've been waiting for 8 months. So finally, yesterday I recieve word that one is available in October for me!!! And I proceed to tell my pregnant friend the good news. And she acts like a total fucking BITCH! This is basically what she said to my face: yeah well, good for you - it's a cat and I don't care. We can't acknowledge my pregnancy so I'm not going to acknowledge your cat.
FUCK HER! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK HER!!!!!!!
If I had any guts at all I would have slapped her.

Sounds like she doesn't want to hear any of your good news and share the limelight even for a minute. What a nasty human being! Obviously she has some serious issues of her own. Easier said than done, but try not to let her get you down. It's wonderful that you are finally getting your kitten, and as a fellow animal lover, I have to say it's not "just" a cat. One of my happiest moments in the past year or so was bringing my two bunnies home and winning their trust (after they had been pretty much ignored in someone's basement for a couple months prior to that-- so it was a job), and one of the saddest was when my little white feeder mouse died at the ripe old age of 2 years. And mind you, this is not because I haven't had my share of ups and downs this year.
If your "friend" refuses to acknowledge that-- fine. If you don't mind my asking, why is she still in your life? It seems you're both bitter (one of you for better reason than the other, and you can guess who I think has the better reason.... but she sounds pretty damn bitter too, good reason or not). It doesn't seem like you're adding a lot to each other's lives right now. And literally every time I read in your journal about someone bringing you down, it is this same woman. I don't judge, but I guess I just question every time I read about one of her shenanigans what positive role she can possibly be playing in your life.

You are absolutely right. I think I've just wanted to take the high road or give her the benefit of the doubt because I'm scared of her. But enough is enough. I'm done with her and will ignore and avoid her from this day forward. She really stepped over the line. She can't be happy for me to get a kitty after my baby died. I get a kitty and she gets a baby - but she has to make me feel like shit for sharing my news. This is the last bit of energy and time I'm wasting on that selfish whore. thanks for giving it to me straight.

I am so sorry that is how she acted. But I am glad you are getting your fur baby!
I noticed in your 2nd message that you are scared of her. You should not be scared of your friends. If you are then they are not the kind of people you want or need as a friend. I am sorry if that comes out harsh but I just feel you deserve so much more then that in your life. Friends are supposed to help us, love us, support us, rejoice with us, cry with us but not scare us. It sounds to me like she is not a very good friend. Yes, we also argue with some of our friends from time to time, but this just sounds mean and hurtful and not what you need in your life.
I pray what ever happens that you are surrounded by people who will love, support you and help you be a better you then you already are and not tear you down.
