Hi. I am a 32 yr old female. I was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes 3 years ago. Diabetes has definitely been one of most challenging things that has ever come my way. I have been up and down with my progress over the years. I will be doing very well and then stress (work or personal life) seems to throw me off course. I have learned much about myself, my body and diabetes in general through out this journey. Dailystrength has been a wonderful source of information and the people have been so supportive. It makes me feel less alone when I read the posts. I wish everyone well and pray that everyone can successfully control their diabetes!

I became vegetarian/vegan in order to help my diabetes. It actually works like a charm. Leading a lo-fat vegan lifestyle lowered my blood sugar levels more than any medication i have ever tried.
I have been overweight most of my life. I have been up and down a lot, but now I have diabetes and I HAVE to lose it for good. I lost 26lbs over the last 18 months but I have more to go. I have plateaued so I am looking for some support and ideas from others who are in the same boat. Thanks! :)
