Father, outdoorsman. Diagnosed Feb 2, 2007 with CML. Started Hydroyurea in Feb for 2 weeks to get count down (over 400, 000), then Gleevec with great results at first. Doubled up to 800 mg in July. Still waiting to find out if it will work. Side effects worse the higher the dose.
