About Me
I am a registered nurse in ER and ICU as well as a certified forensic registered nurse. I am happily married to a wonderful man who I met because I took care of his mother in a neuro ICU. He is a meteorologist. We have been trying to have children since 12/02....we have had two miscarriages at this time.

I know this whole infertility thing can be maddening, but don't give up hope. I have two babies I never expected to create (for very different reasons/repro problems), so there are stories like mine out there that have happy endings, do not loose hope. You have a very good friend...injustice is looking out for you.

Open Back Pain
Have a chronic thoracolumbar strain- torn muscles from mid to upper back- doing my job as a registered nurse. Happened in 1991.
Open Migraine Headaches
Have had migraines for over 30 years now. I am on a preventative and 2 rescue meds. I am limited due to trying to get pregnant. I have been known to be down for 4 days at times with a migraine. All but one of my female relatives suffer from them as well as my father. My brother used to, but once he reached puberty they stopped.
Treatments
- Aspirin Somewhat Helpful
- At times, when in the generic Excedrin and caught in time.
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Somewhat Helpful
- More so when I feel one coming on, during one or for the next couple of days after. Also when I am expecting my cycle I avoid certain foods.
- Compazine Somewhat Helpful
- Helps with the nausea, especially the nausea associated with the Fioricet with codeine.
- Effexor Somewhat Helpful
- Serotonin reuptake inhibitors help with migraines. Been on since 05 and went from being in bed 2 days a week to maybe one a month.
Open Chronic Pain
Chronic back pain due to an injury at work. Tore muscles from mid to upper back lifting a patient in 1991.
