hi, maisy. you sound a lot like me. i know i've got pernicious anaemia & osteoarthritis, but i too get the flu-like symptoms. i asked on another health site if it could be lupus, but the concensus seemed to be that it's rhumatoid arthritis. whatever! i tend to do what i can, when i can, but then i don't have 5 kids! i hope you find out what it is soon & can get some treatment started. i saw 1 haemotologist who told me to stop drinking, stop smoking & take more exercise! i don't drink, had stopped smoking & exercise when i can! the prat! there must be some good consultants out there. try to look after yourself. di.

      Type: Vitamin B12 Deficiency

i have inherited pernicious anaemia. it was only diagnosed 2 weeks before our last baby was born.i have B12 JABS every 2 weeks at homne and 3 monthly at docs. after much reading on the web i found the pernicious anaemia society uk they were really helpful, i found out about self administering the jabs as my doc wouldnt budge the 3 month rule and it wasnt enough for me to last that long.
