I've had Crohn's for about 20 years, finally properly diagnosed in 2000. Had surgery in December 2000, was in remission until recently. Now on scary drugs to try to avoid more surgery.
I have had alopecia areata on and off for about 20 yrs. Over the last couple of years, it progressed to universalis. Now, probably because of the Prednisone, my hair is coming back. At this point, it is still pretty patchy and straggly. I'm hoping it will come back to the point where I don't have to wear a hat.
I am a 51-year-old married woman with one adult son. I have recently started having menopausal symptoms, such as hot flashes and sleeplessness. So far, I haven't tried any treatments. I am taking Prednisone and Purinethol for Crohn's Disease.
I am a 51-year-old small business owner. I am married with one grown son. (My husband and I run the business together. We had to declare bankruptcy and lost our house several years ago after he lost his job and I had my hours cut way back on the job I had then. We both have medical issues. We earn barely enough to get by and can't afford things like dental care and new glasses. Would like to get some advice from people in the same position.
