I'm 26, single, and I work as a sales consultant for a lingerie company. I love music, animals, socialising and outdoor adventure sports. My mum has recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer, and I'm devastated. I now live with my parents and between myself, my brother, sister and dad we care for mum at home.

My mum has recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer. I am finding it difficult to find sites that offer support to families of people with the illness, so thought I would try here? I would like to know how others are coping, how successful treatments are, how I can help support my mum through this illness. She starts chemotherapy in a couple of weeks, fo far she has had no treatment directly for the cancer, recent surgery showed that it has begun to spread around her bowel.
I am currently caring for my mum who has recently been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
Waiting for test results. Been feeling exhausted and irritable for a long time now, but after recent blood test found out I'm severely anaemic. Been busy working full time and caring for my poorly mum, so I guess I've forgotten to take care of myself too. Silly really.
