Close Crohn's Disease & Ulcerative Colitis
I was diagnosed with crohns in 1995 but now that i know more about it i realize i had it probably 10 years before that. My meds are working well as far as keeping me in remission but still have to deal with other things brought on by the Crohns. No one seems to understand that part. The side effects are still there and rule your life. Just want to ask questions from someone who knows what it is all about.
Treatments
- Asacol Working / Worked
- it is working i take 2 three times a day.
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- i do better with the natural things in life like real sugar, real butter, fresh things.
- Azathioprine Working / Worked
- i think this was the drug i was put on when i was taken off prednisone. It seems to be doing ok and no side effects
- Prednisone Working / Worked
- I was on that for 3 miserable/wonderful years. It did what it had to do but i had every side effect that you can get and even invented a few of my own
