Close Renal Cell Carcinoma (Kidney Cancer)
my husband was diagnosed on 22nd december 06 with having a mass on his left kidney ,spotting on his liver and a small shadow on his lung.was told it was too dangerous to operate.was put on interferon for 3months .he had really bad side effects.had a 3mth scan and a very slight improvement, so went onto sutent,just done cycle 1 with no side effects .We dont really understand whats going on yet,everything is still in shock mode.Just hoping he he will improve and he,s here for a lot longer yet
Treatments
- Interferon Somewhat Helpful
- it shrank two lymph nodes but mass on kidney grew a fraction(dr,s words not mine)
- Sutent Working / Worked
- just completed cycle 1 with no side effects.Dont know if its improved anything as yet,just keeping our fingers crossed
