Journal Entry for August 12, 2007 Mood
Sunday, August 12, 2007

Thanks to all who wrote me and sent hugs.  It really means so much to have you all in my corner.

Back from Cleveland Clinic on Aug. 9th late and then new Dr. (Internist) on Aug 10th.  In Cleveland I saw a GI specialist and an Orthopaedic Surg.  GI guy says I have GI problems (I already knew that) but he want tests - Colonoscopy (I had the morning of the 9th) , Gastric Emptying Study and Upper GI.  My stomach and bowels aren't working right anymore.  Along with my Kidneys and Brain and so much else.  The Orthopaedic Surg. said no knee surg. for now.  I had a total knee replacement in Sept 2004 and the joint was put in out of alignment and the joint was left way to loose so my right knee is very unstable and painful.  For now, he put me in a brace and said to let him know how it works and if it doesn't he'll think of something else.  He really didn't want to redo the total knee right now if at all possible.  The Ortho Surg. in Dayton says he thinks that is the only way to fix the knee so I can walk right and not have so much pain in ;the knee, hips and back.

I was so sick and have been fairly sick since my return.  I am still vomiting and have diarrhea.  My muscles are so painful and the headaches extreme.  I may have Graves disease as well, I may have a Fatty Liver and a Heart Problem.  The new Internist is sending me to a Pain Management Specialist and having a stress echocardiagram done.

Well that's about it for now.  My hands can't take any more.  Talk with everyone soon.  Please take care all and Love to you all

Thank you for writing, despite the fact that you are feeling under the weather. I was wondering how things were going for you at the Cleveland Clinic, and what they discovered your problem may be. It appears that they have not given you a solid diagnosis as of yet (as you mentioned a couple of possibilities that may be the cause of your sickness). I am so sorry to hear that you do not feel better. I was hoping that you would feel better, upon returning from the Cleveland Clinic.
I am sure, after being away for a few days, it is nice to be back home. There is always something comforting about being in your own bed.
What is fatty liver? This is the first time I have ever heard of it, and I was wondering if you would not mind sharing what that disease is.
Well, I am glad that you made it back home safely. I hope that they are able to pinpoint what is causing you to feel sick, and start an aggressive treatment program to significantly, or eliminate, your symptoms.
My Mom lit a candle, and said a special prayer for your healing - while she was at church yesterday. I told her about everything you are going through - and asked her to light a candle for you (in addition to lighting a candle for my angel baby), and she did just that.
I will continue to pray for you and pray for healing.
Love, hugs, prayers, peace and comfort - Julie
