I am home from the hospital again. Still having problems with Mito Strokes and Complicated Migraines which leave me diabled on the right …
I am a professional pet sitter with my own business. I adore animals and they help me make it through my days. I used to have a booming business and because of the Mitochondrial disease I have had to cut my business to almost nothing. I have 3 cats, only 2 live with me now. One of my cats lives with a dear friend. My dog (best friend) died Dec 14th, 2006. I have 4 college degrees...medical in nature, one in the legal field. Loved the pet sitting to much. I should have been a vet like I thought about.

I am totally recharged by hiking and camping and being outside. I love to garden. Music and nature, go cycling and just play around. That, with my animals and I'm ok. My pets are such a big part of my life.

In July of 2006 I was diagnosed with a Mitochondrial Disorder, Carnitine Disorder and whatever else. The doctors have told me "I'm to complicated to actually diagnose." I have Complex I,II,III and IV plus Carnitine def. and CoQ10 def. I have multiple organ failures and muscle and nerve damage. But I'm hanging in and I will not leave this earth without letting people know this disease does exist. I am doing everything I know on my own.
Since I have Mitochondrial disease and with that problems with my muscles I just thought that is what was bothering me. It always got better when I got up and moved around until my muscles from the disease part couldn't take the movement any more. I couldn't sleep, I was only getting a couple hours of sleep and was miserable.
