Why We Need Each Other...........
Dear Friends,
I've been away for quite a while. There are many reasons, and as always life continues to teach. I think about …
I'm a 53 year old woman coping with Chiari, a herniated brain stem and CFIDS. I'm taking a very proactive stand in my treatment, and find it empowering. I have 4 children, 11 grandchildren. I have a husband whom I love with all my heart.

Reading, Writing, Art, Music, Photography. I am an insatiable reader and love to hear about what others are reading. I enjoy writing when the juices are flowing. I love art. While not a great artist, it is a great release. I find the same holds true with photography. I had not been involved with photography for a while, and I'm rediscovering my love.

I am 51 years old. I have had Fibro/CFS for 12 years. Back then doctors would act as if you were malingering. I had 3 major operations performed by Dr. Rosner. They did not cure me, but I am out of a wheel chair, and most of the time I can speak. I have a good but tired husband, 4 children, 9 grand children, 2 dogs and 2 African Grey Parrots. I take it one day at a time. My sister suffers from this awful disease, and recently a favorite aunt was diagnosed. I look forward to getting to know you.
I have Fibro/CFIDS. I was diagnosed about 12 years ago. I take each day one at a time, and sometimes a minute or an hour at a time. I find the DS board very inspirational, and look forward to getting to know all of you better.
My husband was recently diagnosed. I want to support him, and I feel so helpless. I'm trying to educate myself so I can be the support he needs.
Actually, my husband has had to do a lot of caregiving for me. I wish he would join this group. He's now ill, and I want to be there for him and still take care of me.
I am concerned about recent news stories....
I had the decompression surgery in 2000. Many symptoms are better, not all still have vein wraaped around stem.
Well, I'm here on Daily Strength and have a chronic disability. I now receive disability which significantly reduced our income. My husband works for the goernment and is retiring at the end of May and again our income will be severely reduced. He has major heart problems, so working longer is not an option. We will have to change our lifestyle dramatically, but I believe it can still be rewarding.
