About Me
I am 52 and just recently put on SSDI. I have two wonderful cats. When I was severely hurt in a MVA (not my fault) I was dismissed from my OVER 14 year career job last year, all my long time friends disappeared.

Interests
Full time job of reducing or avoiding pain. I do like to make new friends. Cooking from scratch. Fishing. DVD movies. Live Theatre. Cuddling with my two cats and spoiling them with the laser light and catnip. Going to lunch with a friend or neighbor. Home decorating. All friendships which are healthy.

Close Asthma
Type: Adult AsthmaMy mother and older sister had Asthma. I am 52 and did not get it until the age of 40. I have to get stubborn with some of my neighbors about NOT smoking in our secured building. It has already caused me a trip with medics to emergency. I take Asthma meds two and mayber three times daily.
Treatments
- Advair Working / Worked
- Only made a film in the back of my throat which was irritating. You need to rinse your mouth well...like gargling after you use it. It does work for some people.
- Breathing Exercises Working / Worked
- I always try and what Asthmatic person is not going to try and breathe? It works sometimes. It helps if I calm down.
- Immunotherapy Working / Worked
- I took shots for two years. Sometimes up to twice per week. They did not work for me.
- Inhaler Working / Worked
- They have what is called Pro Air inhaler. It is tasteless unlike regular Albuterol. One pharmacist stated it was better on the O Zone.
- Azmacort Working / Worked
- I use Azmacort twice daily. It is a combination of an anti-inflammatory and pro air. We still need to rinse our mouths. I get "clear" lung reports from my doctor!
- Albuterol Working / Worked
- The newest inhaler which took the place of straight nasty tasting Albuterol. It is tasteless and better on the environment.
Close Environmental Allergies
Type of allergy: Allergic RhinitisI have allergic asthma. Grass, Molds, Trees, I never get a seasonal break.
Treatments
Open Back Pain
I have been hit in three car accidents in 11 years. All not my fault. I have no speeding or parking tickets. I have a metal plate in my neck, bulging discs, degenerative disc disease, Arthritis, Carpal Tunnal Syndrome, Just had microneuromuscular surgery on my right arm which was becoming paralyzed. I still do not "look" like I have any disabilities.
Treatments
- Cortisone (Injection) Somewhat Helpful
- Works! It will also help you eat half of the refrigerator. Small side effect. I have had many infusions, injections with cortisone, and acupuncture.
- Hydrocodone Somewhat Helpful
- Allergic...my throat began swelling and closing shut. Big trip to the emergency room with cute firemen.
- Ibuprofen Somewhat Helpful
- It did not work taking this medication ... albeit over the counter...too much for too many years made a higher tolerance level for me. 800 miligrams is the daily max.
- Physical Therapy Working / Worked
- I used to live there.
