    • Close Amnesia

i got into a car accident and a baseball bat in the car hit me in the head. since then i have the hardest time remembering anything new that happens. the first 6 months after the accident i have no recollection of and almost a year and a half later i can't even remember if i just flushed the toilet or what i wore the day before.

    • Close Brain Injury

3/26/06 I was rear-ended at a stoplight, the person was going over 60mph and a baseball bat in my car hit me in the back of the head. Since then I have little memory of the year after the accident and I still have memory problems but they are alot better now. I am nauseous, dizzy and have headaches 24/7.

      Treatments

      Prolotherapy Not Working
The procedure was not really painful. I recieved 8 shots into my neck of the transverse processes of my vertebra. They didnt hurt at all, it just felt like pressure. Then for a week after I had the worse stiff neck that kept me up at night. It helped with cervical ROM, but I ended up getting worse headaches, nasuea, dizziness, nystagmus, jaw and ear pains.
    • Open Eating Disorders

At 14 I was anorexic for over a year and went from a healthy 115lbs to 80. I recovered but have since had 2 relapses in college. Im not anymore, but its still a struggle.

      Treatments

      Celexa Somewhat Helpful
Helped me eat a little, but gave me bad side effects. Headaches, tremors, hot flashes, numbness and tingling.
      Dietitian Consult Somewhat Helpful
      Psychotherapy Not Working
Support from Friends & Family Working / Worked
Friends with similar problems helped me work through it.
      Physical Exercise Working / Worked
Im always hungry after a work out and I feel better about myself
    • Open Non-hodgkin's Lymphoma

Grandma was diagnosed over 10 years ago. Helped mom take care of her. She's in remission, but all the chemo gave her kidney problems.

    • Open Food Allergies

I get red, hot, wheals, runny nose, itchy eyes, stuffy nose, heart palpatations, headaches...etc..just from alcohol

      Treatments

Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
If I dont drink I get no allergies.
      EpiPen Working / Worked
      Antacids Working / Worked
I take a antacid about 12 hour before I drink and most of my symptoms go away. I still get a little red but its alot better.
    • Open Muscular Dystrophies

I do not suffer from MD, but do suffer from a TBI. I recently volunteered for a MD summer camp and it was such a great time. Have made a lot of friends with MD
