About Me
I have been married for 19 years to a wonderful man. We have two beautiful children- a son, 14 and a daughter, 10. We also have a great dog, our Dauschand, Jake. I have been teaching special education for 21 years. I work with students who have moderate/severe disabilities. I lost my father to cancer in 2002 and my sister to cancer in April, 2007. She was only 41 and my best friend. I miss them so much. Both my mom and I are having such a hard time. I live in KY and my mom is in VA.

Interests
I love to be with my family, read true crime stories (especially Ann Rule), swim, take pictures and teach my special needs kids. I am back in school working toward my certification to become a Director of Special Education.

I have missed you too, I had printed out a couple of the mssgs that you had sent me b4 I signed off to go have the surgery and I still have them. That is how I found you again. I am glad to be back and it is so good to see a familiar face and type. Mary

Type: Loss of a SiblingI lost my sister in April 2007. She lost a battle with brain cancer. Becky had battled brain tumors off and on since 1991. She was 41 and my best friend. I lost my dad to esophageal cancer in 2002. I hope to make some new friends here.

Close Migraine Headaches
I have suffered from migraines for several years now. I've tried several medicines and Midrin seems to work pretty well.

- Eskalith Somewhat Helpful
- I have found that sometimes migraines are worse after my periods.
Open Diets & Weight Maintenance
I've been overweight for most of my married life. I need to lose about 50-60 pounds. I'm only 5'2" so every pound really shows. I've lost 10 pounds since May. I hope I can find friends and support here.
Treatments
- Avoid Certain Foods / Chemicals Working / Worked
- My biggest problem was giving up regular Coke.
- Eat Less Working / Worked
- Cutting back on portions. Ordering kids meals when eating out.
- Weight Watchers Working / Worked
- I'm not going to meetings, but am doing the points program.
- Phentermine Working / Worked
- It's one part of Phen/Phen. I am working with my doctor.
