I'm a New England girl living in the Big Apple. I do miss the country desperately, but I am settled here for now. Oh how I wish I could have a dog to play with, a yard of green grass to lay in and watch stars from, a hammock to waste away the summer days... perhaps one day.

I was always a "chubby" baby, toddler, girl, teen, college student. Yet, I never had a binge eating disorder until college. It started after I went on a low-carb diet. I stopped the diet on my 21st birthday and after that I couldn't stop eating. I would eat in secret. I did not want anyone to see me eat a whole box of cookies or a whole 1/2 gallon of ice cream. Now that I realize what's happened to me it really upsets me. Sometimes I can control it, other times it goes on for days at a time.
