Close Fibromyalgia
Diagnosed in 2000 after having several "mysterious" ailments for several years. Have tried various meds, but have the fibro chemical sensitivity...so any side effects meds have, i get them in spades. Currently just doing mostly low aerobics and take pain med. Started Savella and here's hoping it's going to work!
Close Tinnitus
I am permanently deaf in one ear, after botched surgery! However this is the ear, I have tinnitis in...so maskers and other types of treatments of that sort are no help for me. Experience extra loud "roaring" more like a siren at times, especially after being somewhere it is noisy.
Treatments
- Hypnotherapy Working / Worked
- Helps me handle the extra loud "roaring" and seems to shorter the occurrences.
Open Alzheimer's Disease
My 88 yr old Dad has dementia...alzheimer's? He is currently living with my sister.
Treatments
- Aricept Not Working
Open Dementia
My Dad has dementia (Alzheimer's?) and is living with my sister at present although I do bring him to my house about once a month...live hour away from where they are.
Open Hearing Loss & Deafness
Type: CombinationDeaf in left ear after surgery for otosclerosis...surgery was botched! Have 30-50% lost in right ear but has plateaued to that level.
Treatments
- Hearing Aids Working / Worked
- Have a special type of wireless hearing aid...hearing aid in right ear and wear microphone that transmits to hearing aid behind left ear. Isn't digital so doesn't filter out background noises. Saving for new digital that is finally on the market in wireless type!
