Another new week ,soon a new month
Im happy for today,my oldest son has called me from Iraq
Here we complkain it's in the muggy 80's,he tells me it's 114 in the shade at 5pm
He says he's doing quiet well,not to worry,he enjoyed some Turkish food
Rabbit and i have written some letters,yet it's wonderful to hear him on the phone
Ahhh,a mother's worries,settled for today,thank goodness
Yes,it's a warm july day,humidity lingers at 99%
Will i complain,NO im going to take Rabbit fishing up at the state park,stand in the river
Take some ice cold water,a few snacks and hang out the afternoon
Hopefully we will catch a few good ones.
Making sure we have fun in all we do this afternoon,remembering my son's call
Yes i'm grateful for today,can't worry about tomorrow,yesterday or anything else>>><<<

Hi Sis..you are always in my thoughts..I'm so glad you have spoken to your son...a precious gift indeed! I went with my 12 yar old Grandson Jack to see our local troops homecoming Parade; they are back from Iraq..I shook one young lads hand...I thought of you and your son..Yes..just 'be in' today..I've learned this is the best way to be, and the easiest on our minds. There is great comfort to be found in the present moment..Take care my lovely friend..I never seem to have enough time at the moment..but I carry you with me in my minds eye...Love and Hugs, Diana
