    • About Me

I am dealing with both an autoimmune disorder and neuromuscular disease of unknown origin. I have continued to research diseases that mirror the symptoms that I continue to experience. However, numerous physicians have not been able to figure out the diagnosis and neither have I. So, the search continues. It is possible that I may have a type of mitochondrial myopathy called MERRF, dercum's disease, ms, or IBM. I just keep praying that the doctors or I will one day discover what has caused the decrease in my muscle strength. I would like to be able to stop the progression of this condition, along with the symptoms that at times hinder my ability to participate in so many daily activities.

Years ago, experienced numbness tingling, stiff tightness, swelling, redness, pain, cramping, loss of motor ability in one hand, then shortly after both hands. Triggering symptoms- physical strain-lifting and turning hospital patients at work or fine motor skill activities--using a screw driver/writing. Then, in cold temperatures fingers would contract, blood circulation poor, hands turned bluish tinge. Hand tremors began. Age 29,muscles in legs became weak, same as hands, then arms & feet w/tremors

      Treatments

      Prednisone Not Working
Prednisone used as a trial to decrease inflammation--did not help. Felt very anxious, agitated while taking it. No longer prescribed
      Eating Healthier Foods Somewhat Helpful
Joints more limber, less inflammation, less problems with digestion and constipa-tion,decreased muscle tremors. Felt better overall.
      Flax Working / Worked
With a more appropriate strict diet of fresh greens and meat(other veges), helps to control symptoms a bit, plus staying hydrated. However, muscles are still weak.
