Hi everyone, I am doing better than I have in about 3 weeks, but I think that is because I am not walking much and I am back on a small dose of Prednisone. My doctor also put me on Lasix 20 mg and that has been a big help in getting my swelling down. I can actually walk again. I am trying to see if he will prescribe be a small portable scooter, power chair to take to work and use when out and about. I mentioned it to him a few weeks earlier and he said the Insurance company would not agree to it. I think with the right documentation we could get it done. If anyone has any suggestions on what to do for this let me know. I use the motorized chairs at the grocery store and Wal Mart but there are times I need one and there is none to be found. I am still unable to walk for more than 5 minutes and my knees are bad still, also my shoulders, but the swelling is almost completely gone. I just wish my energy would come back. I need to finish unpacking since my move to my new apartment. I am happy to have all of you as friends and appreciate everyone very much. Hugs to you all and love to you too. Char

oh man I just seen a commerical on one of those and it had said they help you get the insurance to pay for it
next time I see the commerical I will write down the number for you

Hi. Glad..oh so glad that you are better...and feeling more human. I'm hoping that you can get a chair...keep on trying...and pestering and perstering...there has to and will be a way. Know that you are in my prayers and thoughts. Have fun seeing "the ankles" and walking more..can't imagine, but know you are an angel in disguise sent here to teach us. Luv and prayers....maryl
