Good morning everyone. I am on my sixth day of 20 mgs of Prednisone and the double dose of Lasix. I am feeling much better. I still have difficulty walking due to pain in my knees, my arms are still very painful, and so are my hips, but at least now I am back where I can actually take my own shower, get dressed, and all the other necessities of daily living. I still am unable to stand or walk for more than 5 to 10 minutes at one time, but when the pain is at its worse, it is much better than before. I was crying all the time before my doctor put me back on Prednisone. I was in very severe pain. I now am at least able to function to the same limited level as before. Prior to the re-entry to Prednisone, I could not function at all. The swelling looks like it is mostly gone too. My face was swollen and I didn’t even realize how much until I started the double amount of Lasix. I thank all of you for your prayers and now feel that I am able to withhold my level of pain and functional limitations well enough to wait for my December Rheumatology appointment. So did you pee yourself back down to size? I am sooo happy to hear you are finally getting some relief. Boy oh boy this has really been a long haul for you. I know you were suffering much more than you told us. Your such a great person. I am sending you very loving and gentle hugs!!
