Hi guys just to say today ive been VERY naughty!
firstly i felt down.... it was my 52nd day and i just felt rubbish... i wanted a cig, for comfort more than anything...
so i was at my freinds sandra, and she smokes and so does her husband and son... so it was all to easy to go join them! I had 2 cigs at there house with them.
i felt really guilty but then when i got home to my house i decided i wanted to smoke tonight anyway. so i went and bought 10 cigs! i smoked about 5 im done now, its 3,23am i should well be asleep but im not, ( just getting into bed now)
Tomrrow i,ll stick my patch on as usual.... i know this isnt good. the nicotine patches dont seem to work very well.... they keep away cravings but how am i EVER going to be nicotine free if i rely on the patches? any advice would be appreciated x

Hey guys well today is my 46th day quit...
The problem i have though is soon as i take the stupid patch off... within 2-3 hours i am CRAZY for a smoke! I get real angry and dangerous to be around LOL well maybe not dangerous but...i sure do get crabby!
Also not such a laughing matter, as some of my ds freinds will know i was taking the smallest amount of xanax per night before bed, yes i know it isnt a sleeping tablet but it did settle me, Ok long story short ive been off that for quite some time now and my doctor said i needed something more like tamazepam, its 10mg and i just take one before bed. Now when i started taking these they worked a treat! within 20 mins i was relaxed and ready to sleep ! I loved them, now its been a while and of course the effect isnt working anymore. I dont know what to do next! any ideas?

Hi Jordanross I am also an insomniac. After 2 years of taking Trazadone ( a mood stabalyzer) My body became tolerant to it, My Dr then prescribed AmbienCR to take with the Trazadone, The only side effect is you must take the Trazadone with food or a glass of milk.. I hope thiis works for you,,Let me know how it works,, reaching out to you,Mayberry

Hi guys just a short one because i should be sleeping. im now 43 days quit and smoke free , although i have had a few slips and smoked the odd cig ( and i know thats very dangerous)
anyway i think i,ll be okat for the future and not 'dabble' with anymore cigs! I did smoke just the other day cos a freind was smoking , the one i told you about who seems hell bent on getting me at it again! so ive decided im gonna have to avoid him for a while until i can trust myself to say NO. what an ass hole anyways! tryin to get me hooked again! you know why it is dont ya? cos he doesnt like paying for packets of cigs.. so if he gets me at it again he can smoke mine! The shit! lol
Nothing else to report...Im still working like crazy on my body, im trying to get a six pac , and let me tell ya it AINT easy! but my stomach and chest is deffo changing, just not as fast as id like LOL. im having a battle with food at the min, because i want to make sure im eating all the right things. I think im doing really well. today im going to cook a burger! I havent eaten meat for like..ever! so itas going to be a big challenge

Hey Jordan - i can tell you're disappointed, but don't beat yourself up; have you ever tried anything other than the patch? i haven't but i know others on the board have; maybe you should try something to go with the urge if the patch isn't working very well; whatever you decide to use, i hope your quit again soon; you were doing so well. hugs - deb

Hey Jordan, You only fail when you stop trying. Every cigarette that you didn't smoke was a victory so be proud of that. Brush yourself off and try again. You can do it and you will. Don't waste time beating yourself up. You slipped and it happens. Tomorrow is another day. hang in there and remember that you are not alone. Hugs

Hi Jordan. Don't give up. I was quit for 18 months before this last quit. You just need to brush yourself off and start again. It's never too late. We all have those days. You can do it. Hugs, Beth

Just keep trying. You can do this. Just hold your head up high and quit those nasty things.

Ah hun! That's rough. You're going to do this. You can do this, I just know that you can. Keep on trying and I know that in time you will beat this addiction.

don t look at this as a failure but learn what triggers you to smoke and stay away from the triggers until you feel strong, we all have them its day 51 for me after a 6 month quit it is a battle we will always fight but we can win. don t give up, i also am on the patch down ti 14 mg it has been helping me but everyone is different just get back on track ,good luck
