firstly i'm happily married with children, two girls who are twins , they are coming up 2, i have a son who is 12. forestry is my proffession. i'm an ex forestry contractor, bushman, and adrenilin junkie. i joined this community to learn or understand how maybe to deal with chronic pain and illness. My passions are, lol, were sports and hunting, i now enjoy fishing as it is something i can do on a good day without turning it into missery, mostly, sometimes!! I also feel like i contribute something usefull to the family as well. i love golf but i donot play any more. i am a man of the land, i think i would go mad if i lived in town. i hate doctors who push pills. i'm into alternative choices when it comes to my health, i believe in regular body maintainence. but in saying that i have abused my body over the years. i like pushing boundaries.

coaching childrens sports. golf, tennis, armchair sports critic, hunting, fishing, chilling with the family, growing trees i have 10 acres of trees that i planted for my parents retirement. actually trees would have to be my biggest passion. wood carving and sculptures was my lastest venture but alas too much pain so thats been put to rest for now. i love cooking, my wife now prepares alot of the food for me to cook as both jobs makes me crook.

Hey dude, works still slow here - but i'm working up some of my own things, more music, more compuiter consulting i hope is coming. Health, almost 3 years since NCR and still doing great. did you see Lou22's post about how much she's gotten out of it? It's amazing. After surviving 12 yrs of pain and beating it, nothing gets me down that much. It's a different world than when the pain started, thouggh and restarting a life is challenging. I'm glad to have friends like you my bro. Thanks for the pick-me-up :)

Hey dude, damned job, 6 mo contract was cancelled after 2 months, mostly the economy, with 1/2 hour notice!! yikes. So i'm back to scratching here and there and submitting resumes. On the plus side, went boating yesterday and enjoying the great summer weather here on clearwater beach. damned good to hear from you, i'll write more when i get time. h.

Close Chronic Pain
i suffer chronic pain after a cervical spine injury .i had a fight with a big tree, it picked me up and threw me on my head. i didn't break anything thank god i think. any wayb that was 15 december 2003. i had a cat sacan xray 3 months off with weekly massages, i went back to work as i had business debt to deal with. for two and a half years i tried to live a normal life, lol, what a joke. to much vomitting, shitting, cramping,headaches now i manage a lifestyle to manage my pain and illness.
Treatments
- Marijuana Working / Worked
- helps with sleeping and nausia. it also helps to demotivate me, as i always overdo things.
- Massage Working / Worked
- i have great temporary relief with massages, took away the headaches and nausia, short term, way better than drugs or medication. lol try and get your dr to believe that.
Close Depression
i have been in and out of depression since a child. i have major ups and then i crash. chronic pain has been my latest downer but i feel i hit bottom now i go up.
Treatments
- Prozac Working / Worked
- i have no idea whether it works or not.
Open Migraine Headaches
a real big tree that i cut down paid me back by throwing me in the air and i landed on my head neck. i hve had to give up work as the pain and headaches, i was violently ill it was every day 24/7 7 days a week. i was going insane. i now manage the amount and level of intensity most of the time by rest and relaxation, lying down, wearing a neck brace, massages.
