I am a hair-dresser of 34 years, started when I was 18. Alot has happened since I was so young, I am 53 yrs. old divorced 17 yrs. I have 2 sons, and 2 grandchildren.I also have a serious eye disease that is being treated with avastin injections and it is starting to go into remission. I sew, upholstry, read, and help other people. I also went back to college when I was 43 and got my degree, in health information. I am now an Employment Consultant for Child Adult Resourses. I still cut hair in my salon that is at my home. I will never give that up. I never thought when I got a divorce that I was going to achieve all of these goals in life, but it can be done, if you want it bad enough.

Hi Patty. No real big "disease". Two bouts of optic neuritis, bad enough to destroy my optic nerves. It took them about 7 months to determin I did NOT have MS like they first scared me with. How about you?

april 2006 i was diagnosed with angioid streaks. this disease takes your central vision. my mom and her brother has it too, they are blind.
I have always been the caregiver type. I really don't know why. My parents made me independent and I think it attracts people who need help. I always get sucked into helping people with their lives.
