I'm still working on catching up on everyones journals, so if I haven't gotten to you, I haven't forgotten about you.  Miss you all and hope you all are doing great.

 

I'm good, busy but good.  Trying to find that balance - so I keep working and working to keep my food, family, life and exercise on track.

 

I signed up for a 5k on Sept 5th, I did the same one last year so excited about that.  I kept going back and forth about it but then I just signed up cuz I know that is what I need to stay on track and make sure I get running time in.  It was only $25 so it's not like I had any other excuse.

 

A girl got killed by a drunk driver, she was 17 at the time, she would have been 29 now-so sad!  The $ goes towards helping other victims of drunk drivers, financial, emotion, legal and education support.  They also have a Scholarship fund for other recipients that went to her school.

 

Been really busy with work, Jimmy and household stuff.  Jim has been busy working and working in the garage so haven't seen much of him - booo!  It makes me sad that we don't spend much time together cuz of his work but trying to just make that time for me, Jimmy and get things done that need to be taken care of.  I think that's the bulk of my eating, I'm bored and alone and have to find other things to do with my time when he's not home with me in the evenings.  I've been dealing with this for over 10 yrs and it's tough, you think I would get used to it by now but I haven't.  It's hard with his schedule being shift work but that's what it is and I have to learn to deal with it cuz it won't change.

 

I'm staying at around 143 but hoping to get back down to 140 and just go from there.  I have to find balance and it seems like it's taking forever but I will get there no matter what.  I just have to keep fighting that inner Hippo as you girls would say and just keep fighting and never give up.

 

We are all strong and can get thru anything.  If we mess up, it's not the end of the world, we just have to work harder and harder to make things stick.

 

I think sometimes I think I'm ok at my weight and it's ok to eat what I want but then I forget how easy it is to gain.  I need to make myself realize that even when I eat bad I still need to exercise no matter what. 

 

I really appreciate all your support and sorry I'm not on as much as I like but I think about you all and know your all doing your best too.

    You can do it girl. We all fall off the wagon so don't feel bad. Glad work is keeping you busy but we do miss you here! We understand though, I've been real busy too. Have a great weekend!

    WOOHOO 5K!!!! Go Kathy Go!!!! That is freakin' amazing, I'm so proud of you!
    I LOVE your attitude about just moving on to the next day when you've had a bad one. We all need to remember that...not just as we are losing but in maintenance as well...forever we'll need to make sure we don't gain it back...so exercise is the key. I recommend swimming...burns calories like you wouldn't believe...and it is so much fun. The best part is you can be exercising and having fun with your family at the same time.

    I'm glad to read an update. :) I'm excited for your 5K. Just have to keep motivated. It's hard there's a million reasons not to do it but only a few to do it. I know you can though! Keep up that focus...I'm working on it too.
